Prioritizing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) reauthorization and strengthening apprenticeship and training programs are key to building a more effective workforce system. Passing WIOA would modernize the public workforce infrastructure, while streamlining the apprenticeship application process and expanding on-the-job training incentives would make it easier for workers to gain in-demand skills and for employers to develop talent pipelines.
